Better installations begin beneath the panels

The customer sees the solar array. The installer knows how much of its success depends on what sits underneath.

Roof attachments, rail connections, module clamps and cable routes determine how efficiently the work proceeds and how well the finished system fits its setting. Esdec has built its reputation around making those details work together.

For a business installing solar week after week, considered mounting design has a cumulative value: a more familiar process, fewer unnecessary operations and equipment that helps the team work with consistency.

The value of a well-used working day

A mounting quotation accounts for the hardware. The installation programme also accounts for the people, access equipment and time required to put it in place. A system that suits the roof and gives the crew a familiar sequence can influence all three.

Esdec has developed rooftop mounting since 2004 and forms part of Enstall. Its product thinking centres on assembly: connections, shared components and accessories that make sense in the hands of the installer. The commercial value accumulates across the roof, then across the next week's work.

ClickFit EVO for pitched roofs

ClickFit EVO brings roof-specific attachments together with a common mounting concept. The range includes solutions for tiled, steel, corrugated and standing seam roofs, alongside options for slate and other coverings.

Its value lies in combining familiarity with the correct attachment for the building. The installer can work within a recognisable product family while choosing the components suited to the roof construction.

The exact roof covering, fixing arrangement and module frame remain part of the design. Use the relevant ClickFit EVO installation manual to establish the correct assembly and component list.

FlatFix Fusion for flat roofs

FlatFix Fusion offers a modular approach to roofs where the layout has to negotiate rooflights, plant and access routes. The family includes single, dual and portrait arrangements, with construction details set out in the current Enstall manuals.

The design conversation includes how the array will be installed and how the building will be maintained afterwards. Ballast, access and the roof covering all have a place in the calculation. Bring them into the plan early and the mounting package can follow a defined layout.

Make the material schedule work as hard as the team

The Enstall Calculator converts roof and module inputs into a bill of materials, construction plan and ballast plan. For purchasing, that is the point at which an installation becomes a precise equipment requirement.

BMG can price the complete schedule, investigate component availability and organise delivery alongside the modules and electrical equipment. Where several projects use the same components, we can discuss consolidated purchasing and a release plan that reflects the order in which the roofs will be installed.

It is a useful way to manage a growing programme: keep the project-specific calculations, while buying recurring components with a wider view of demand. The crew receives the agreed equipment for its next job; procurement can negotiate around the work ahead.

Carry the plan through to completion

The last box matters as much as the first pallet. Clamps, end caps, cable supports and the specified fixings belong in the supply schedule from the beginning. BMG can help organise that schedule into a practical order and refer technical questions to the appropriate manufacturer resources when the roof presents something unusual.

For an existing installation, the project calculation and component references also make a service enquiry easier to progress.

Warranty and support

The Enstall Europe warranty terms set out 25-year cover for eligible rooftop mounting products supplied under those terms. The applicable sales agreement establishes the cover for the purchase.

Contact BMG for equipment we supplied, with the order reference, project calculation, affected component details and photographs. We can help bring the enquiry into the relevant supply and support process.
