Procurement & Sourcing

Buy with a wider view.

By the time an equipment enquiry reaches a supplier, somebody may already have committed to a selling price and a delivery date. Much of the commercial room has been used.

We help buyers develop their options early and find a workable route when the requirements are already fixed. That can involve replenishing trade stock, securing equipment for an agreed project or obtaining an exact model that has become difficult to find.

BMG Solar is a procurement and sourcing business with its roots in solar and a widening field of supply. Our work spans solar and storage equipment, EV charging, heat pumps, air conditioning, electronics, machinery and specialist electrical products. We welcome enquiries beyond the catalogue: tell us what you need to buy and where it will be put to work.

We bring manufacturer relationships, distribution access and knowledge of the wider trade to the same conversation, establishing what can actually be bought and on what terms. A requirement outside our regular range gives that search a new direction.

Know where you have room to move

A useful enquiry tells us which parts of the requirement are settled. The specified model may be essential while the collection date is flexible. A distributor may have freedom over the manufacturer but need a quantity that will turn quickly through its stock.

We explore that room deliberately. It can open a different supply route, make an available allocation useful or give us something valuable to exchange in a negotiation. Where an alternative needs technical approval, we assemble the information your team needs to assess it.

Your priorities determine the search. An urgent replacement and a planned stock purchase deserve different buying strategies.

For custom or OEM supply, we develop the enquiry around the intended application, specification, production quantity and target market. A manufacturer can then respond to a defined brief, with samples, production lead times and minimum quantities considered alongside price.

Understand the opportunity before committing

An attractive offer creates a reason to investigate. We establish the identity and condition of the equipment, the quantity available, where it is held and what must happen before it can be released.

That investigation gives negotiation something solid to work with. A seller may value a prompt collection, a commitment to an entire allocation or a dependable buyer for repeat supply. We consider what the opportunity means for your business, including the cost of freight, the payment schedule and any stock you would need to carry.

A low unit price earns its place when the surrounding purchase makes sense.

Use the next order to improve the next few

For regular customers, we build a view of recurring requirements alongside individual enquiries. That makes it easier to recognise a relevant stock opportunity, discuss future manufacturer supply or combine confirmed demand into a more useful negotiation.

We can source a single shipping container or develop a supply programme involving hundreds. One shipping container is our minimum working quantity for some product types; quantities for other products are agreed around the requirement. A larger commitment can give us more to negotiate with, while releases are arranged around your sales, storage or project schedule.

The aim is to give your business a purchasing relationship that becomes more informed with use. We learn which products move, where specifications leave flexibility and what your customers expect you to have available.

Find the next buyer for available stock

We also work with suppliers, distributors and stockholders whose equipment needs a new commercial home. A cancelled project, a revised range or a change in warehouse requirements can leave valuable inventory waiting for a buyer.

We establish what is available and the terms on which it can move, then develop an offer for customers who can use it. The seller gains a route to release working capital. The buyer gains access to equipment that may never have appeared in its usual purchasing channels.

Put the decision on a clear footing

We bring the options back to the matters your team needs to decide: the equipment, the supply position, the full purchase cost and the commitments attached to it. Where there is a trade-off, we explain its commercial consequence.

You can then approve a purchase with a clear account of why it fits the requirement and what happens next.
